We began a new series today. We started looking at Philippians this morning. It was so encouraging to see how the church in Philippi started in Acts 16. The church had small beginnings in the form of a lady who was a merchant, a slave girl, and an anonymous jailer. It is pretty remarkable what God will do when we begin to pray. God opened the door for work to be done in Macedonia and so Paul was obedient and went to share the gospel. Paul loved these people. He loved them deeply and longed to see them mature in Christ.
He wanted them to remember God was not finished with them yet. The same is true for us. We live between the already and not yet. We are already made righteous but we are not yet perfected. The process is not yet over. God is still molding your heart. As a friend of mind often reminds me - don't let the imposter in. Let Christ rule and reign in you. "And I am sure of this that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6
